I was at the Langley Camera Club last evening, and Eric Stewart was our guest speaker ( http://kalemphoto.com ) Eric spent an hour going over Lab Colour in Photoshop, it is so simple to use and Eric demonstrated it so well, he is a wealth of information, Eric teaches at the Langara College.
Eric touched up one of my photos and they were subtle but very effective,

I was at an Art show last night, the critic was very good her name is Amy Dyck and she does some incredible work herself (http://amyjdyck.com )
it is very educational and I would recommend anyone getting out to see such a show it really makes for a pleasant evening

I had the opportunity to board the HMSC Ottawa on Saturday, what a great experience that was , the crew was friendly show us all around the ship , lots of stairs to go up and down, i got a weeks excursive in 1 day, the ship is beautiful inside and out, we had lunch Kudo;s to the cooks. this even was to introduce women into the Navy, all the women crew seemed very happy on board, o think it is a great future for some young women

I have been to a few ladies barrel racing these ladies weigh 125 lbs give or take and the mount this 1500 lb horse and travel at speed that scare the heck out of me, i have a 14 frames a second camera and it is hard to keep up. These ladies really love their horse's.
how do they feel traveling at these high speeds?
what motivates them?
The horse's and the gals look really fantastic as the ride in unison , i hope to shoot more barrel racing this year

When I photographed Ming, he was sleeping in his main place. when he woke we spoke for awhile his weathered face and his tattered clothes foretold the hardships he had weathered. His hands were as expressive as his worn face as he gazed off into the distance, thinking about a different time. Ming chose his words carefully and spoke softly, calmly talking about his reliance on religion and readings in his Bible. I asked him about his family, he paused saying, “When I’m here... I’m home. I figure a homeless person isn’t a person without a house, a homeless person is someone who lives in a city who doesn’t have friends or a family.” I assist the homeless as often as i can North America is so rich in so many ways we need to channel our efforts in order to help
